To all our valued customers:

Since the establishment of Micro-Ohm Corporation in 1960, we have been producing various kinds of Fixed resistors which are used in different Products today. Currently, we are concentrating on the issue of a Environment Protection Program. On this basis, we are making adjustments to our raw materials and finished goods being manufactured, also sales and shipping process. Therefore, we make the following announcements:
1. Our company produces all kinds of resistors without Cd, Hg, Cr6+, etc. except for Pb. These are forbidden substances with environmental impacts by European Union and other countries.
2. The Pb-Free status of our main products
2.1 Carbon Film Fixed Resistors
Status: Totally Pb-Free
2.2 Metal Oxide Fixed Resistors
Status: Totally Pb-Free
2.3 Wire-Wound Fixed Resistors
Status: Totally Pb-Free
2.4 Jumper Wire Resistors
Status: Totally Pb-Free
2.5 Precision Metal Film Fixed Resistors
Status: Totally Pb-Free
2.6 Metal Glaze Film Fixed Resistors
Status: Totally Pb-Free
Reason & Analysis: Some materials (ex: electronic serum) used in the process of this production have no Pb-Free alternative which is available in the market. At present time, it is still being studied in the world for further developing.
2.7 Fusible Resistors
Status: Totally Pb-Free
2.8 SMD Resistors (including Chip, Chip Array & Chip Network)
Status: Normal Pb & Pb-Free
Reason & Analysis: Some materials (ex: R-U coating materials for reasistor protection) used in the process of this production have no Pb-Free alternative which is available in the market. At present time, it is still being studied in the world for further developing. The technical problem is in the area of electronic serum, but some enterprises today have been researching new Pb-Free materials.

* Aiming at the market unavailability of Pb-Free material which we mentioned above, we will pay more attention to the trends. As soon as the new material development comes up, we will apply it into the Pb-Free process in order to oblige to the needs of environmental protection, and then inform this new process to our customers.

* Aiming at the available kinds of production which we mentioned above, if the same production have Normal or Pb-Free types, please give a clear indication on your orders when you want Pb-Free type.
